Club Kit

Following the process to select a new design and supplier of club kit, the Committee hope to be in a position shortly to provide full details to allow members to be able to order items.  A few remaining issues remain to be resolved before we can do this. Meanwhile, the Committee has agreed to dispos...

Re: Disused railways take cyclists to less familiar places

Shortly after the Tyne Cycle Tunnel reopened (7/8/19) I said that I would lead a TOGS ride to Jarrow Hall via minor roads, cycle paths, waggonways and the tunnel. I would need to consult Keith about a suitable return route. But I said it would have to wait until the new high capacity inclined lifts ...

Re: Sunday C3 rides January to April

The Met Office is still issuing yellow warnings for wind and rain for tomorrow, so I am cancelling the C3 ride.

Plan for tomorrow is the Hollybush. Wind is forecast to drop, but there is a distinct risk of rain. Overnight temperature is forecast as lower than recent nights, but hopefully no risk of ice. Planned route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/31853444 which is 53 miles, but does allow for the final lo...

Re: Sunday C3 rides January to April

We are also going north tomorrow-to Swarland. The route out and back as far as Chevington crossroad is this: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/25059969 but I plan to avoid the Tritlington road on return, and come back via Ulgham, Longhirst and Morpeth. There is the possibility of rain, but no frost.

Sorry for the late call but it's a lot frostier than I thought. I won't be at Jan's. Take care if you do go out

Re: Sunday C3 rides January to April

This Sunday's C3 destination is Hexham. Overnight forecast is for frost and ice so I may make a late decision as to whether I will be out. I will see if I can put together a route on gritted roads.
