Re: Against the Wind

Good list Keith. Like the Bob Seger reference, I am a big fan., The only addition I can make to your list is the bus stop in Netherton, on the ‘Main Street’ at the bottom of the hill. I used it once for lunch last March in a bitterly cold day. Cheers John

Re: Take care at Blagdon

Thanks for the heads up Keith, but more importantly very sorry to hear about the accident. Hope your recovery is swift. I think you’ve shown more generosity to the driver in giving him the benefit of the doubt over whose fault it was than I would have done.

Re: Invitation to join me for some good rides week beginning 31 August 2020

Great idea Keith and I really like the sound of those routes. However your dog’s holiday coincides with our own so we won’t be able to join you unfortunately. But if the hound gets a taste for getting away again, or anyway, it’d be nice to join you another time in what I am sure will be a sparkling ...

Belsay Hall Cafe

Today’s C2 group, with a Go-Ride ‘contingent’ , had a good ride to Belsay Hall cafe today. This cafe is a really nice Summer (you’d have to check Winter opening times) alternative to the Blacksmith’s at Belsay. English Heritage is welcoming cyclists there free of charge ( no English Heritage members...

Re: Bob Melrose

I can only echo Adrian's thoughts on the sad news about Bob. When I joined the club he made me so welcome and made getting to know the Vags and its members very easy. I always enjoyed his company. A very good, kind man and a great loss.
