Sunday C3 rides January to April

Post by Gordon Atkinson »

I will put destinations in the calendar for Sunday C 3 rides through to Easter. The destination for this Sunday is Amble. The forecast looks good. If you enjoyed these rides last winter, the pace/format will be the same for the next few months. Pace around 13.5 mph. 9.30 from Jan's. Mudguards required.

I would walk 500 miles, but I'd rather go by bike.

Gordon,
Which route are you taking to Amble tomorrow. I was planning on picking up the group somewhere around Tramwell Woods, if that's ok.
My annual subscriptions are due this month, and I am struggling to find a route on the website to renew online, can you help.

I'm thinking out and back on gritted roads-not so much because of the risk of ice, but because more minor roads are filthy https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29202538 We can pick you up on the Gubeon-Morpeth road by the A1 flyover, at about 8 miles, so shortly after 10.
To renew, there is a link on the left hand side of the home page 'Renew Current Subscription', but you will need to be logged on to see it.

Hi Gordon,
Is there a list somewhere? Can’t find anything for Sunday 12th.

I was doing it when I saw your post! They are in now up to the weekend before Easter. I've not put anything in for the 1 march as I suspect many of us will be riding the 100/200 km Audax the previous day. The forecast for this Sunday looks OK.

This Sunday's C3 destination is Hexham. Overnight forecast is for frost and ice so I may make a late decision as to whether I will be out. I will see if I can put together a route on gritted roads.

Sorry for the late call but it's a lot frostier than I thought. I won't be at Jan's. Take care if you do go out

We are also going north tomorrow-to Swarland. The route out and back as far as Chevington crossroad is this: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/25059969 but I plan to avoid the Tritlington road on return, and come back via Ulgham, Longhirst and Morpeth. There is the possibility of rain, but no frost.
