Re: What did you see today?
Lovely to see Chris Lees back out on his bike for the first time today since his hip op two months ago.
My ride also took in the "East" line of the "Cramlington Tube". I only became aware of Cramlington's cycle network a year or so ago. Some bits better than others, some quite impressive. Town plan was drafted in early 1960s. Much better cycling provision than new developments. This year they have branded the network and have maps and tube stops.

Yes indeed. Might be tight on a tandem. Along the riverside to Newburn bridge then back via Piggy's Lonnen with the wind behind. That's the North Walbottle waggonway crossing on north-south axis.Roger Clarke wrote:[quote="Scotswood road?

Re: What did you see today?
My big concern with these “cycle paths” is the number of crossroads with very little visibility and no give ways. I bet there have been some massive bike on bike accidents. I was nearly hit by a teenage girl on a mountain bike who suddenly swooped down a grassy embankment right into my path. Generally less glass than the equivalent tracks in Blyth however.Roger Clarke wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:57 pm Lovely to see Chris Lees back out on his bike for the first time today since his hip op two months ago.
