2nd claim

Postby Josh Craven » Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:16 pm

Sad to be writing this but I feel this is the right step to take.

Iv been in the Vags for 5 years now and slowly progressed through the ranks. From being 13 on my little Giant defy 3 struggling to keep up with the slow group to now racing for the club. Iv learnt a lot in the time Iv been a member of the club and made a lot of good friends! The club has helped me so much, From little pieces of advice to lending kit and getting lifts to races. I cant thank everyone enough!!!

But sadly I am now Joining Muckle CC as a 1st claim member. The main reason I joined Muckle is that they are a race club so there riders are strong and it will be good being able to utilize team tactics. They also have hard training rides which will help bring me on before the season kicks off. As well as that the kit is lush and made by Castelli :D!

I am still a 2nd claim Vag and will still be on some club rides and racing the TT's next year so not a complete traitor  :-D

Hi Josh,

Sorry to hear you are jumping ship, do they not want to take your dad instead?

In all seriousness best of luck in your next season of racing, hopefully we'll still see you on the odd club run. I'm sure you'll be back in a vags jersey one day.

Keep in touch,

Adam

Hi Josh,

Good luck, hope to still see you out with Vags when you have time.
Enjoy Muckle, seem like a great group when I've spoken with them on occassion.
(They do have a tri team also as I know your keen on the swimming.... )

cheers Chris

Best of luck, Josh. I still remember my first ride to Wheelbirks with the Vagabonds when you kept coming back to ask me if I was alright on the hills - I wasn't but your encouragement helped to keep me going. Then there was the time we lost your Dad on the way to Elsdon and it didn't bother you at all!

Hi Josh,
Totally understand your decision, and I agree with you... riding with faster more experienced riders will help take you to the next level.
Everything in life has a beginning and an end... I'm sure you will outgrow Muckle in time... and if you go pro, don't forget freebies for your old pals in the Vags ;)
Its great that you learned your craft with the Vags but you've ran out of fast guys and need to move on... we're not offended
Enjoy it, wishing you every success and don't forget to have some fun!
Much respect for your nice post.
Your friends in the Vags will no doubt still be cheering you on when we see you mixing it up in the break.
Cheers, Ken
