Mallorca 2018

Postby Bob Holywell » Tue Jul 18, 2017 8:00 pm

As you may be aware the club are once again heading off to Mallorca the last week of March and the first week of April staying as usual at the Duva hotel/apartments.

I have personally booked with Jet2 Holidays to depart on Friday 23 and return on April 2, this being a 10 night stay. Anyone who's keen or interested in joining me are more than welcome, it doesn't have to be for the 10 nights duration, you can just arrive and depart as you wish.

Here's hoping I'll not be spending the first week on my own.

According to the Duva website there is no availability at all March or April next year (2018)?! Is this normal or right ?

Richard, I had this problem as well when I tried to book on line, when I rang Jet2 they couldn't explain why, so the just booked my trip over the phone. I would hold your horses for the time being though, because a few are considering the Polensa Park instead.

Re: Mallorca 2018 - Helicopter trip - come fly with me.....

Postby Richard Paisley » Fri Aug 11, 2017 12:20 pm

Hi all,
I just spoke to Balearic Helicopters and after the usual aviation admin, they're going to loan me a 4 seat helicopter (Robinson R44) to go flying around the island for a few hours during our trip.
If you'd like to join me (space for 3 passengers plus me as the pilot per trip), let me know, post here or flag your interest in some other way - options are (but not an exhaustive list):
1. Carrier pigeon
2. Smoke signals
3. Club ride/meet
4. Letter
5. Email (richthepilot71@gmail.com)
6. Telepathy
7. Brick/arrow with a note attached fired toward me/my house
8. Employing a trained mime artist to convey your message

It's (really) not cheap (especially due to the exchange rate at the moment) :o so I would hope that people would be happy to chip in to cover some of the bill although I'll be covering most of it.

Cheers
Richard
