Hello Keith

After something of a lay-off from cycling, I'm available for the proposed ride on the 19th. Are you still planning to go ahead with a meeting at Staithes Cafe for 10.15?

Hi Chris,

Sorry but in light of the announcement made this afternoon I am postponing the ride until the restrictions due to Covid-19 have been lifted.

Keith, I tried out your Tanfield, Bowes, Monkton route this morning with my son.
Very interesting and we enjoyed it, something different. I think definitely need a CX bike (best option) or MTB. We were amazed at the amount of industrial heritage on our doorstep and the plethora of old railway workings.
As you said generally quiet. Only one iffy section somewhere near Lobley Hill, about 800m of glass, cans etc, otherwise great. Thanks for the suggestion.
