    We have over 300 members of all ages from the Newcastle and Northumberland area

    All members who race for the club in any event are part of the race team.
    The Race Team competes at all levels from novice to international level,
    on-road, off-road, on the track, and in triathlons.

    Go-Ride provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to cycling.
    Tyneside Vagabonds run coaching sessions at Thorneyford Farm, Kirkley
    on Saturday mornings, which are ideal for children aged 6 and upwards.

    Mountain Time Trial
    The Vagabonds' Mountain Time Trial was first run in 1947 and is the North East's premier time trial.
    It takes place on a challenging 47 mile course taking in Belsay, Rothbury, and Elsdon.
    The 61st edition of the MTT is to be held on Sunday 15th May 2016.

CXNE Round 8: Ward clear victor in Vagabonds' debut CXNE event

CXNE logoUnder a cloudless blue sky on a fresh November morning the first competitors arrived early to Tyneside Vagabonds' first ever CXNE event, and first cyclocross promotion in many years. The venue of Thorneyford Farm provided an unusual variation of course and facilities to those usually experienced by CXNE followers at locations like public parks, country parks or schools. The course, set in a single field had two levels of relief connected by steep banking giving the effect of a valley top and bottom, sloping down to the swollen River Blyth.

Vags WAGS Rides

From Vags WAGS 2012

Following on from leading a successful series of Breeze bike rides for women, club member Tania Tucker is now continuing to organise club rides for Women (And Girls) independently of the Breeze rides scheme.

Rides are approximately 25-30 miles in length, taking in a cafe stop, and at a relaxed pace.  Check the website calendar for details of the rides.  Existing club members and potential new members are all welcome, but it's strictly for women and girls only!

Rides start at 10am from the Ponteland Shopping Centre car park, and will leave promptly!!
