Club 25 Championship - 27th July 2017

Deferred from 4 weeks previous due to bad weather, riders were treated to good conditions for the 2017 club 25 mile championship as club records were broken.

Miriam Jessett set a new club junior girls 25 and course 25 record, taking nearly 4 minutes off her previous record, with a time of 1:03:44 to win the women's championship ahead of Caroline Rochester and Lesley Bennett.  Adam Wild also set a men's club course record with a time of 54:23, ahead of Ken Thursby and Simon Gibbs.

Adam also moves into the lead of the short distance BAR with an average speed of 27.510mph, with Ken Thursby second and Simon Gibbs third.  Lesley Bennett leads the women's short distance BAR, with Caroline Rochester and Miriam Jessett needing to ride the final club 10 to qualify.  In the Vets BAR Dave Robinson leads, with once again Ken Thursby second and Simon Gibbs third.

Results and updated BAR tables below.

Club Rides Relaunch

This weekend, 22nd/23rd July, the club rides are undergoing something of a relaunch.

Over recent weeks 30 club members, who are amongst our most experienced club riders and who have volunteered to be ride leaders, have met and discussed how our club rides are run. We've put together all of the feedback we've been given from across the whole range of our club rides and hope this will make the club rides even more enjoyable and successful than they are now.
